Improve Body, Health and Performance

Improving your body means improving your health, which also means improving your performance in stand up paddling or other sports. Take advantage of the benefits that stand up paddling brings to your body, health and performance; you won’t believe the workout you will get!

Stand up paddling gives you a powerful cardiovascular and muscular workout and strengthens your breath capacity, circulation, arms, legs and core muscles, all while you are having fun surrounded by amazing scenery.

Stand up paddling also gives you an awesome angle of visibility. On the SUP board, surfing or not, you stand high over the water and can see both deeper into the water and further across the surface of the water. This position allows you to have a better view of the marine life and the incoming swell on the horizon.

Beginner

We recommend that you take your first lesson in virtually windless conditions, which means early morning or late afternoon. These are the most beautiful moments of the day, when the sun is low on the horizon and the water is usually glassy. Thus, it is easier to balance and to learn the movements for having lots of fun. In addition, you will learn basic ocean awareness and paddle technique (safe strokes and turns), correct stances and how to use the paddle for stability.

Intermediate

Your highlight is catching your first waves! You will also learn SUP surfing etiquette, how to deal properly with the ocean current and how to quickly maneuver the SUP board. As always, we stress safety on the water.

Advanced

Your instructor will challenge you to catch bigger waves and improve your technique on the water. You will be guided safely to bring your skills to the next level while having fun in the ocean. Take care: you might get stoked!
